How careful are you in choosing your smallest warehouse trucks? We’re here to say that their quality affects your business, whatever their size and type.

We’re talking about things like pedestrian power pallets, pedestrian stackers, low-level order pickers and perhaps tow trucks. Some may view them as a very ordinary and unremarkable feature of the workplace. But think again. Each has an essential role in your operation, either on its own or as part of a materials handling fleet. And making the right choice can optimise your costs, productivity and profits.

Whether you’re buying a high-capacity counterbalance forklift or a small pedestrian power pallet, the same guiding principles should apply. If it’s durable, easy to service and energy efficient, it will lower your total cost of operation (TCO). If it’s quick and powerful, it will increase your output. And if it’s ergonomic and safe, operators will perform more productively.

Quality matters in every lift truck category

The warehouse truck designers at Cat® Lift Trucks take these issues very seriously. Look at our Cat® pedestrian power pallet trucks and pedestrian stackers, for instance. Robust construction comes as standard. Potentially vulnerable electric components are typically enclosed and sealed against impacts, moisture, dirt and corrosion. Our designs also tend to minimise the number of parts, and hence the scope for breakdowns. When servicing or repairs are needed, easy access features save time and money.

At the same time, these compact trucks offer advanced features that boost your operators’ performance. Chief amongst these is the class-leading Cat emPower tiller head. It’s quite simply the most ergonomic on the market. Click here to find out why.

Our NO-N2 low-level order picker range and related N2-generation tow trucks offer similar quality. Cat Lift Trucks standards of robustness are, of course, assured. We also achieve the best energy efficiency in the market. Ergonomically, our designers have built on the Cat Responsive Drive System (RDS) technology pioneered in our electric counterbalance trucks. RDS and intelligent curve control react rapidly to the operator’s changing needs to optimise his or her driving experience.

Cat Lift Trucks quality – for even the smallest jobs

But what if you need a warehouse truck for much lighter duties and smaller jobs? Or for a job that you only do a few times each day? The technological advances and world-leading performance of our core products might seem excessive in such cases.

To bring Cat Lift Trucks quality to those situations, we’ve introduced our entry-level EQ line. These trucks have everything you need for dependable materials handling. That includes sturdy construction, simple maintenance, energy-efficient features, robust performance, user-friendly design, and safety. Each model also benefits from the productivity, efficiency and long-term cost-saving advantages of lithium-ion (Li-ion) battery technology.

  • EQ line mini power pallet trucks NPP15-20QBL - These great all-rounders combine small size with impressive strength and resilience. They can transport loads up to 2.0 tonnes, but they’re compact enough to work anywhere. You can manoeuvre them easily in narrow aisles, containers, goods vehicles and small buildings.
  • EQ line pedestrian power pallet trucks NPP18QL and NPP20QL - Our more conventionally shaped power pallets come in 1.8 and 2.0 tonne capacities. They’re compact and easy to handle, with an ergonomic tiller arm, high-quality forks and a smoothly controlled AC drive motor. Robustly built, they will give many years of trouble-free service. We also have a 2.0 tonne platform power pallet truck, NPV20QL, with similar features and capabilities.
  • EQ line compact pedestrian stackers NSP12QLMI (mono mast) and NSP12QLDI (duplex mast) - For exceptional versatility in a small package, try these 1.2 tonne trucks. They’re even small enough to take into vans and elevators. You can stack and retrieve at heights up to 1.95 metres with the mono mast and 3.3 metres with the duplex. Use them also for short shuttle runs and order picking. A great do-it-all solution for smaller warehouses and supermarkets.
  • EQ line sit-on tow trucks NTS30-60Q - Great for transporting heavy loads (up to 3.0 or 6.0 tonnes) over both rough and smooth surfaces, indoors and outdoors. Their high ground clearance smooths out bumps and gradients. And they’re tough enough to withstand the knocks of a busy workplace. Comfortably seated, the operator stays productive mile after mile.
  • EQ line mini order picker MNO1.5Q1 - This unusual truck is not just for order picking. It does the job of a ladder too – but much more safely and efficiently. Automatic aids prevent operation unless the user’s hands and feet are properly in place and the safety gates are closed. You can lift its platform to 3 metres and pick items as high as 5 metres. It’s also useful for inspection and maintenance tasks at height. Changing a light bulb or repairing a ceiling fixture, for example. You can even optionally use it to transport additional loads by towing trailers.
